I discovered Dudu through my school as they introduced it to me at primary 3 or primary 2. I sign-up for Dudu as I find it very interesting. I read 2 – 3 books every day. I improved and I'm much more confident in speaking loud using Chinese. I love Dudu.

Both Gordon and Brandon do not have general interest in reading, especially Chinese books, since young. My husband and I would try to borrow books from the library occasionally but the boys hardly completed the books as the content were too heavy for them to comprehend and enjoy on their own if we were unable to set aside time to read with them.

A close friend had recommended Dudu to us during last school holidays and we decided to give it a try for both boys. Despite their relative short period of usage (less than 3 months), I observed the boys were doing more regular reading as they were able to make good progress on the interactive ebooks on their own. The key highlight of Dudu is the Placement Test which will assess the children’s Chinese reading level upon first login and then recommend appropriate books based on their language ability. The audio narration and dictionary are useful features which give them the confidence to approach any challenging words in the ebooks and building up their vocabulary bank.

With the positive reading experience and progress made by my 2 boys, I’ll strongly recommend Dudu to any parent who is exploring for good and interesting online reading programme for their children.

I have been using Dudu town for the past two years. Apart from assigning the correct level of books for the pupils to read, the application also includes audio, 汉语拼音 and quizzes.

Being able to assign the correct level of books to the pupils cater to the language ability of the child, thus making it easier for the pupils and at the same time encourage them to read.

The use of the internet allows our pupils to self plan their reading which is in line with the goal of our education system (self-directed learning).

Teachers can monitor the reading progress and at the same time award books to the class. I can also conduct a directed reading of books (part of it) in class to entice them to read the books on their own.

I used Dudu Adaptive Chinese Reading Programme when I was a teacher in school. Now, I’m a parent user. Dudu is interactive and Nathan enjoys getting the little awards and of course, the games at the end! The lower level book has good repetitive of keywords and the story content was not too complicated. He could slowly read and answer the questions.

Grace loves to read but I did not know how to find Chinese books that are suitable for her reading age. A friend recommended that we give Dudu a try and we have been loving it since!

She has been using Dudu for 2 months and she can navigate through Dudu easily and reads around 10 books per week.

She loves the games at the end of the stories and the sense of achievement when she gets all the answers in the quiz correct.

She is able to recognise more words now than before she started using the programme. Her confidence level in reading has also increased as a result.

Dudu has made learning the language more fun and engaging. The bright colours and cute graphics made the ebooks very attractive too!

My son is very weak in Mandarin and lost interest in reading Chinese books over time due to his inability to sound out the words independently. I found out about Dudu through a friend's Instagram post and decided to give it a try. The programme is wonderful as it recommends books which are suitable for my son's reading ability.

The colourful illustrations with occasional animations, coupled with the games and achievements at the end of each book, made learning fun and engaging for my boy. He no longer fears to explore new books on his own as he can listen to the audio reading accompanying each ebook, which guided his learning.

There is a great improvement in his pronunciation as he read the stories aloud. He is also more confident as he attempts to read new books along with the audio reading.

Dudu has plenty of interesting ebooks to choose from and I no longer need to worry about where and how to find stories that are suitable for him to read. Without having to buy or borrow physical books for him, I no longer worry about missing library days due to bad weather or having my house cluttered with insufficient storage for all his books.

My child has been using Dudu for 6 months. It is easy to use and he reads 2 – 4 books a week. The programme has plenty of storybooks, good graphics with audio help. It is fun reading and my child likes the ranking system which motivates him.

I discovered Dudu through my elder child's school. I find it very interactive and my younger child in K2 is interested after seeing the sister doing it, therefore we sign up for it. 

The programme/books are very interactive and interesting. My kids usually read at least 2 to 3 books a week. Dudu has games and rewards after the exercise which my child looks forward to. 

Gerrard is more confident of himself now, and he is willing to try reading out loud by himself.

I chance upon Dudu on the internet while trying to search for interesting Chinese reading material for my 2 boys. 

What I like about Dudu is the programme assessed the children’s Chinese reading level by asking the children to answer a few questions based on a few short Chinese comprehension passages and recommend appropriate books based on their level. 

We tried borrowing a lot of Chinese books from the library but usually found that the books are either too hard (doesn’t match their Chinese language reading ability or too long and daunting for my children to finish it). Dudu recommended books short, the content interesting with some stories based on Chinese culture and historical figures, and it comes with comprehension questions at the end of the book to test the understanding of what was read. 

If the children stumble upon difficult words, there is an auto-reader or pinyin display option to help them along. 

Finally, this programme enables us to practise reading anywhere. Just need to login to your account via a laptop. 

Overall, I can see an increase in confidence of Brandan and Aidan in Chinese reading. I would recommend it to any parents who are searching for any fun and interesting Chinese reading programme to get their children interested in the language.
